Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a fabulous fourth of July hanging out with family and friends! I know I sure did. Chad and I spent the day with our awesome college Bible study group, PUR. It was a day full of fun, water slides, yummy food, and LOTS of fireworks! We sure didn't let the rain ruin our fun. :)

After a couple of hours enjoying the water slides, water guns, and nerf guns, we enjoyed some yummy homemade ice cream! 

Then it was off to get some fireworks.

 
Yep, we ended up buying this MASSIVE box of fireworks. Maximum legal powder allowed...

After the first round of fireworks went CRAZY, shooting in all different directions, and possibly grazing a couple PUR members (everyone is still alive and well, woohoo!), most of us decided to go sit on the dock of the pond and enjoy the view from a distance, hehe :)

The boys were singing "The Star Spangled Banner" while getting ready to shoot off one round of fireworks, too funny! 

After we finished up with fireworks, we headed back inside for our second round of hamburgers and hot dogs. Everything was decorated so cute and patriotic!

One of my personal favorite parts of the day... all of the delicious yummies! :)

We ended the day by winding down and watching Despicable Me. We are totally all a bunch of kids at heart because we laughed and laughed at the movie!
 (So excited to be going to see Despicable Me 2 later today, woo!)

I'm so thankful for my awesome PUR family, and I'm so thankful for a wonderful, fun-filled day!

Weekend Getaway Trip

I don't know about y'all, but I had a FABULOUS weekend! My best friend Chelsea so graciously invited me to stay with her and her family at the beach, so of course I so graciously accepted her invitation, hehe. We stayed at Phoenix VI in Orange Beach, and boy, what a beautiful weekend we had there!  Join me on our journey throughout the weekend... Side note: Chad and my cousin Cole stayed with our friend Josh and his family most of the weekend, too. Their condo was about five minutes from ours.  Friday: After Chad got off work Friday afternoon, he, Cole, and I packed up and headed towards the gulf. We stopped at the Pita Pit downtown for a late lunch (it was delish!!). We arrived at Josh's condo around 5:00! The Day My Heart Exploded

Today was one of the greatest days ever, my sweet friends. I want to share with you about our chapel service at Faith that was so incredibly beautiful, overwhelmingly amazing, heart-touching, and Spirit-driven. For a couple of months now, Coach Skoda (whom I love with my whole heart) kept telling me that soon we would have a “split” chapel service where the boys would have their own service, and the girls would have their own service. He asked me if I would be willing to speak to the precious 7th-12th girls of Faith during that service and asked me to speak from the heart (from where the Lord was leading). And, he told me the overall theme would be about being God's princesses. Of course I agreed and was super excited to share my heart, but little did I know how HUGE of an impact this service and these girls would have on my life.
