5 Lovely Blessings

Do you agree that sometimes it is so easy to get bogged down in this life and focus on all the bad things? I know I sure feel that way sometimes. I let myself become negative, and I start forgetting all the wonderful blessings in my life.

One thing I want to start doing at the end of each week is listing 5 things I am thankful for. My goal is to not repeat anything and always list something new that has been a blessing in my life that particular week. I feel that this will help me to focus more on the lovely blessings in my life (which just so happen to inspire the name of my blog). The Lord is so good, y'all, and He deserves to be praised with a spirit of thanksgiving. We can praise Him through every aspect of our lives, no matter how big or how small... How cool is that? :)

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name."
Psalm 100:4

So here we go... My 5 lovely blessings of the week: :)

I'm thankful for...

1. The opportunity to sleep in.
I am not ashamed to say that I slept till 9:30 yesterday morning and 10:00 this morning. Being the first week back to school, I had to wake up around 5:30 most mornings, so it was SO refreshing to catch up on some rest.

2. Nike shorts.
One of the best feelings ever is changing into a pair of Nike shorts after being dressed up all day. May be silly, but I'm thankful for it! Hehe. :)

3. Long conversations with Chad.
One of the things I look forward to most throughout the week is spending time with Chad. Last night, we had dinner at Macaroni Grill, went to Lifeway, went shopping a bit, went to Cold Snap, and rode around because there was nothing else to do, hehe. But during all that, we had some awesome conversations. Even after almost six years of dating, I learn something new about Chad almost every day. It's awesome dating your best friend for sure! :)

4. Cinnamon Life Cereal.
Laugh at me if you would like, but this is one of my favorites, hehe! I'm super thankful for this tasty delishness because it makes me super happy. Probably not the best thing to eat late at night, but I always find myself gravitating towards this if I need a late night snack, haha.

5. The ability to work out.
I don't necessarily like working out (haha), but I'm thankful for the physical health/ability to be able to do so. I'm actually trying to muster up the motivation to go work out as I type this, hehe. Shaun T's Insanity is the workout I'm on right now, and if you saw my appearance after I finished the workout, you'd say "EW." Haha, I've never sweated so much in my life.

What are you thankful for this week? Some awesome things I'm sure! I hope your week has been filled with countless lovely blessings!

Have a fabulous weekend! :)
